Professional Training for a Superior Career - The objective for this program is to become a trained dental assistant and productive team member in a dental office. This program is a comprehensive overview of the basic science, dental anatomy, terminology, sterilization, chair side skills and preventative philosophy necessary for employment in a dental office. All students must be able to follow directions and the prerequisite for this training is a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.

Elain Alcorn, the instructor/Owner, is a dental office assistant and office manager in Bradford. She has taken continuing education courses at UPB and is a member of the American Dental Assistant's Association. Class size limited to 10 students.

Quickbooks

Introduction to Quickbooks - Understand the basic concepts/applications of the Chart of Accounts and the organizations Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow Statement. Classify and enter transactions. Set up Vendors and Suppliers. Set up and Manage Employee accounts. Utilize Report functionality. Set/Change preferences. Practical accounting issues dealing with system productivity. (Minimum of 8 students)
