Introduction to Dreamweaver and WEB Design Concepts

This course will cover the basics for designing an attractive and efficient Web page. Learn what draws people to your site and how to keep them coming back. Along with learning design concepts, you will also learn how to use Dreamweaver to develop your page, work with text, add hyperlinks, add images, and tables to streamline your Web page. You will also learn how to build a site using frames and how to define and upload your Web site. This course is ideal for small companies who want to develop a web presence as well as larger companies who want to save money by developing and maintaining their Web pages in house.  St. Marys at the CEC, Wednesday May 28 and June 4th, 5:00 pm—9:00 pm.  Fee: $90.00. Microsoft Publisher 2003 - Fee: $5.00 - Pick up tips and tricks of Microsoft Publisher 2003.   With all the tools you need  in one place, you can achieve quick, impressive results. Microsoft Office 2003 / Application Courses

These 8-hour non-credit computer courses are designed to help you focus on the software you need most, step-by-step at the CEC in St. Marys. Cost: $89.00 per class. Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm.   

 

 

Word I - This course will teach you the basics of Microsoft Word so that you can create and edit  documents to make them look the way you want.  May 12 & 14

 

Excel I - You will learn the basics of Microsoft Excel so that you can create spreadsheets, work with existing spreadsheet, use formulas and functions. May 19 & 21

 

Excel II - This course will expand on the material covered in basic Excel. Topics covered include graphing, more advanced formulas and other features. June 2 & 4

 

Access I – This course will teach you the basics of Microsoft Access. You will learn how to work with an existing database, create a database, run queries and print reports. June 9 & 11

 

Access II - This course expands on the material covered in basic Access I, to some advanced concepts including creating relationships, advanced queries and reports. June 16 & 18

 

Certified Coding Associate Exam Prep Course

This intense two day workshop is designed to help prepare you for the Certified Coding Associate Exam and give you experience with practice exams under similar testing conditions you will face when sitting for the exam. Information will also be provided on scheduling and registering for an exam. The Professional Review Guide for the CCA Exam is included in the cost of this program. Students are responsible for providing their own CPT & ICD-9 code books.  St. Marys at the CEC, Friday May 9th  from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and Saturday, May 10th from 9:00 am to 12:00.  Fee: $239.00 includes materials

Supervisory Skills Certificate Program

Learn the critical skills necessary to meet the ever-increasing challenges of being an effective supervisor in today’s workplace. The position of “supervisor” is constantly evolving and to keep up with those changes, it is critical the people in that role change with it. A five-part series will teach new and experienced supervisors the skills needed to properly motivate and direct their teams to meet company goals, objectives and be in compliance with the law.  The emphasis is on mastering management techniques essential to the success of both the supervisor and the company. Each Supervisory Skills class is two days.  Certificates are awarded to those completing all five courses. Fee: Members $195.00 Non-members $325.00.  Courses need not be taken in sequence. ON-SITE training available

Understand the basic concepts/applications of the Chart of Accounts and the organizations Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow Statement.  Classify and enter transactions. GPS/GEO CACHING 101

This course will provide a basic overview of what a Global Positioning System (GPS) is all about, how it works and its limitations. Learn about geocaching history and etiquette, setting up a geocaching account and how to download coordinates. Experience your first field study of finding caches located near downtown St. Marys. GPS units can be borrowed for the class or bring your own. All participants should have basic computer skills. Instructor: Dr. Neal Lepovetsky; Fee: $10.00;  May 15; 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
