Clarion University For Teaching Excellence Master of Education Degree in Curriculum & Instruction Second Cohort starting Fall 2007 Looking for a program that considers the needs of a working professional and only requires 15 hours of direct contact time for each three credit graduate course? Disillusioned with the prospect of a total “on-line” program where you never see or have direct face to face dialog with the instructor or your fellow classmates Clarion University may have the answer for you!!
In cooperation with the Community Education Council of Elk and Cameron Counties, Clarion University is offering a 30 credit Master of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction designed for the practicing educational professional and those individuals with education degrees interested in furthering their education. The program is an exciting and innovative approach, geared to accommodate the busy schedules and demands encountered by today’s professional educator. All courses will be offered as a combination of on-line and traditional class meetings. Classes will be held on five dates throughout each semester from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Community Education Council in St. Marys, summer schedules will be flexible. The remaining course requirements will be fulfilled with on-line activities. The degree can be completed within a three year time period which includes one course per semester and two courses for two summers. Best of all, the program cost will be almost a 40% discount compared to the regular tuition and fee rates.
The first group has already started and will be on schedule to complete their first year in the summer of 2007. We will be starting a second group in the fall of 2007. The tuition will be $880.00 for a three credit course. To find out more information please contact Clarion at wwilliams@clarion.edu, call 814-393-2776 or contact the Community Education Council.
