LIT I took a new direction for the beginning of its eighth year. This year's program began in September and will be completed by the middle of January 2011. LIT I is designed for 8th grade students from the local middle schools and is sponsored by the Community Education Council. LIT I will enhance the participants leadership skills with hands-on-activities. A variety of activities for this 5 month program covers activities such as team building, communication skills, financial awareness, diversity, government awareness, diversity and community service projects.
Registrations for the ninth LIT I class will be conducted at the beginning of school in August 2011, with a deadline to register by September 9, 2011.
